Overview
Maians is a groundbreaking digital-identity platform built around customizable 3D avatars that seamlessly integrate AI, social, identity, and Web3 into a single product. Each Maian is an AI-powered, conversational avatar users can shape with its own unique persona and own securely on-chain. Engineered for massive scale, through a collaboration with Metagravity, the technology supports over 100,000 avatars coexisting without any performance degradation, Maians set a new standard for the future of gaming, metaverses, and virtual experiences, complete with a marketplace and creator studio. This project was led individually by Muhammad Huzaifa, Mindshare's Head of Game, whose work we're proud to showcase as part of our team's portfolio.
The Challenge
Maians had to unify four hard problems in one product, expressive 3D avatar creation, conversational AI personas, on-chain ownership, and extreme scalability, while staying approachable for everyday creators. The avatars needed to look distinctive and high-quality yet remain lightweight enough for tens of thousands to render simultaneously across diverse virtual environments.
Our Solution
We crafted a library of highly customizable, performance-optimized 3D avatars designed for real-time rendering at scale, integrated with AI to give each Maian a conversational persona and with Web3 for secure ownership and marketplace transactions. A collaboration with Metagravity enabled 100,000+ avatars to coexist smoothly, while a creator studio and marketplace let users build, own, and trade their digital identities.
